The Colorado River stretches across a big part of the North American continent.  There is a city called Laughlin that rests along side of the Colorado river.  Laughlin has a number of attractions that draw thousands of tourists every year.
    More about Rivers
The Colorado River is a fast flowing river.  This river is a wide and deep in various sections.  It is also known for its strong undercurrents.  This blue river is fairly cold.  This river has always had a good population of fish.  The river is Fourteen Hundred miles long and spans across 5 states.  The Colorado River begines in Colorado, and then moves through, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California.  This river provides water to over twenty five million people.  There are many dams that regulate the Colorado River including the Hoover Dam.

There is point where the Colorado River intersects with 3 converging states.  California, Arizona, and Nevada borders all meet at this point.  The cities that line the state borders are Laughlin Nevada, Bull Head City Arizona.  The major highway that runs through Laughlin is Highway 95.  This is a desert region.  The weather can hit temperatures up to 115 farenheit.  There is also a good chance that you will experience strong winds in this area.  You have a good chance of spotting a bunny rabbit, here and there.
  More about Fishing
Some hotels located on or near the rivers include Harrahs, Avi, The River Palms, The Riverside, and The Flamingo.  The main attraction within the hotels are their casinos.  Slot machines, card tables, bingo, Keno, and sports books.  All of the hotels offer some type of music, dancing or live entertainment within bars and clubs.  The resort area is small enough and there are a number of methods readily available to transport you from place to place.  Tourists enjoy boating, jet skiing, and fishing in the river.  There are a number of bardge rides on and ferries to transport you to close by hotels.  There are a few small beaches for sun bathing and swimming, although these areas are small since the river does not have large banks in this part and it has steeper drop offs than other parts of the Colorado River.  Outside of the hotel entertainment and the river fun, you can find helicopter rides.  This is a great way to get a bird's eye view of the landscape.  The desert terrain is always great for Motorcycle riding and ATV activities too.  For those that enjoy shopping or happen to win big, there is an Outlet center for clothes, books, other major retail products.

Bring your sunglasses, hat, and extra drinking water.  Laughlin has daytime and nighttime activities.  Another Southwest United States landmark to put on your list of travel spots.
