The food a Chickadee consumes
differentiates throughout the different seasons. In the summertime, a
special food includes caterpillars. Other foods eaten in the
summertime includes berries, spiders, and other insects.
In the wintertime, the Chickadee eats many fruits and vegetables.
When they eat nuts, the Chickadee will sometimes bang them against a
tree branch to attempt to open them. The Chickadee hides extra food in secret
places for later hunger. This technique shows the bird's intelligence to
surviving.
