numbers. As cities grow and phone numbers become unavailable, new
area codes are implemented. Advancements in technology have also
impacted the need for new area codes. Pagers, cell phones, and
internet phones (Voip) have become main stream. New area codes
allow the re-use of existing phone numbers. The area code + phone
number combination provides a uniqueness needed to continue
contacting individuals directly. |
