The online paths leading to
art sources
and sites, have grown in numbers and in variety. The

not only become a way of accessing art but several new
tools and mediums
have developed from digital technology as well. If
you are in

information sources
related to art, you found the right online art tour. |

The first destination we are
arriving at is
called Auto Art By
Harper. John Harpers art gallery can be found
online at
www.autoartbyharper.com.
Mr. Harper combines his love for racing, and strong background in
photography, with his natural artistic talent. John attends
professional racing events, where he digitally captures these
moments in time. From there he re-creates the events on canvas.
For example this work titled Rahals Last Ride:

The next online art gallery scheduled for our tour is
produced by Thomas Kinkade.
This artist tends to yield a calming feeling. Paintings of
homes and landscapes in somewhat of a tranquil setting
typically. 3 recent works by Mr. Kinkade:
Victorian Autumn released October 2005
A 2 story home set with a misty sky and seasonal Fall
look
and
Christmas Evening released September 2005
A English cottage under a blanket of snow with a winding
river/stream next to it.
and
Salt Lake: City Of Lights
A painted view of Salt Lake City, Utah. The city taken
from a neighboring hillside perspective.
These works can be found at

For the next leg of our tour, we are going to visit Galleries that
cater to a
variety of artists. For a good old fashioned brick and mortar
experience, you can visit the Santa Monica Museum Of Art. This
is a venue that caters to exhibits. The next exhibit
scheduled at the Santa Monica Museum of Art will be Dark
Places that will run from January 13th, 2006 through April
22nd, 2006. This interactive exhibit deals with the
effects of crime in our current day urban atmosphere. The Guest
Curator will be Joshua Decter and the Exhibition Design by SERVO
architects. |

On the virtual side of art
sources, there are a few sites you may want to bookmark.
www.artshow.com
provides
information about artists, workshops, art tips, and then
some. You
can also enter your art into contests held by organizations
like
http://www.artkudos.com/ .
If you are 18 years of age and submit your paintings,
sculptures and
digital art by May 31st, 2006 next years prizes could be
yours. Another great site for art information is The National Gallery Of
Art. |

For art supplies and art-
related products we tried
www.art.com . Well
if you did not
already know about this site, we took a chance and just
typed it into our
browser, and sure enough there was an art site. No
purchase made
by Trade Federation but you might want to visit the site.
If you are
just getting started with your art hobby, we recommend that
you look
into some of the following technologies: Microsoft Paint,
Photoshop,
Flash, Digital Cameras, and Digital Camcorders. |
